Of Alder and Oak
My name is Edward Campbell and this website showcases a continually developing body of my work .
All the colours and materials that I use in my work I make myself from a variety of sources. I started with exploring foraged inks derived from plants and trees and have since journeyed into the world of earth and mineral pigments found in the the local landscape as well as from further away. Due to the mysterious imaginative quality these materials contain these works are always changing and evolving. I continue to explore and consider themes of place, meaning, and the nature of our relationship to the living world.
I am often to be found roaming across local landscapes, working, imagining and sourcing possible materials and colours.
Alongside this Iām also increasingly developing workshops and courses with which to share this captivating subject with others. For more information please visit;
